Being me, I chose what I was going to be very late in the month...and I chose a hippie. I'm 14 and I'd like to use stuff I already have as a costume instead of going out and buying one. I've got the tie dye shirt and all, but what else could I use?

Bell bottemed or flared jeans..or just frey the bottem of a pair of regular jeans and rip them up the side a few inches. Tie a bandanna around your head..wear peace symbols or just beads if you don't have one.Paint peace symbols on your face..stop the war slogans on your jeans. If y our hair is long wear it loose or with a small braid on the side.

Well hip hugger jeans with big bell bottoms were popular. What I used to do was rip the hem of the leg and sew in a triangle of patterned cloth to widen the legs. (red, white and blue, a flag, a flowral pattern, hazardous patterns like bold circles; sprial prints or anything bright.
Hair was always long and stringy, wrap a long piece of cloth around your forehead and hanging like Janis Joplin. Hippie girls went barefoot or sandals.
See if you have a halter top. Also use a wide belt, white, so you can draw on it, make peace signs and daisies.
A sorta Scooby Doo Shaggy look and you have a great 70's hippie. Or look up some 60's music icons and you will find some great stuff!
I am going as Jimmy Hendrix! Big afro wig, long purple rag tied around my hair, lime green bell bottoms, a long scarf around my neck and a guitar........

Wear your hair either in braids or down straight with a flowered headband, a belt that ties in the front or a wide leather one, white would be perfect,leather sandals or moccasins, a peace sign necklace or beads, a fringed jacket would be great & beaded braclets or a braided leather tied around your wrists, HUGE hoop earrings, rose colored sunglasses, pale makeup and blue eyeshadow, and the biggest bell bottom jeans you have..and carry a flower...have fun

Round yellow or rose tinted sunglasses. a leather headband. Braid your hair, or part it in the middle. Call everyone man(draw it out, like "maaaan"). Say "groovy" and "I dig it" alot. Carry a guitar around.

get lots of big bulky even tacky jewely and put your hair in braids schrunchies maybe?
