Yes. It should be as legal as tobacco. I'm not saying there aren't health risks or issues that develope. I've experienced them first hand, however, it's not the gov't job to make my health decisions.

Probably. Alcohol causes far more problems. And prescription drugs cause quite a few as well. Why not. Everyone must get stoned.
As for legalized drug tax the government would find a way to spend it such as spend it on treatment for the anxiety of illegal aliens not being accepted in a society that is not their own. or some other stupid thing. Just felt like saying something stupid. Hows that.

why not? alchohol is legal and at least there are tons of products that can be made from the plant. can they say the same about alchohol? all we get from alchohol is a good time, liver failure, blackhole nights, people beaten by bad drunks, and others ran over or crushed by drunken drivers.... not to mention all the was it rape or was it consenual trials we see on tv. Its not like the rules for smoking will be any different than the rules for those who drink.

The taxes earned from marijuana could be used to fight real drugs like heroin, crack cocaine, and meth, all of wich are REAL problems.

Not to mention marijuana is known to have therapeutic properties.

Legalized, certainly not however I am definitely for decriminalization.

Control it and slap on ridiculous taxes like alcohol and tobacco. But treat it more like alcohol, it can only be consumed and purchased after certain times, in certain places, by persons of age.

Use the money from the taxes (and the money saved from locking up all those persons who have been charged with possession) and pump it back the community.

it shouldn't be legalized. along with tobacco and all the other useless drugs. theres no reason for it except for people to get high or they cant stop because they're adictid and the only reason thery're adictid is because they're all to much of a pu$$ey to not do it in the first place. its really not all that hard not to start. the health concerns should be enough of a reason alone. and your flushing money down the toilet, which is fine, i guess because everybody blows money on something stupid once in a while. The difference is the "something" you blew your money on doesnt cause you and everybody within the same confind space as you to die a slow and painful death.

Yes, even so I never did. I have old friends in pain and smoking marijuana helped them. Now they say that marijuana would help with Alzheimer. My husband has Alzheimer and iit too late for him but I sure wish I had heard this before.

Yes. the only reason its illegal is because it the only "party" drug that stays in your system for longer than 72 hours. It should be legalized and taxed, similar to alcohol. People suffering from the effects of kemo therapy, HIV medications, etc., shouldn't have to be criminals.

Yes, its never killed anyone and the extra tax revenue would be great! Plus it would allow customs agents, and border patrol more time to look for hard drugs and terrorists.

If they legalized it tomorrow, I still wouldn't be using it. Isn't personal choice beautiful!

I doubt if it ever will be. It is not something that the government can control the growing of, since there is so many illegal growers.
I do agree, that if it is used for medicinal purposes it should be allowed. But for the general public, no. Only because, like alcohol, it would be a contributer to users becoming addicted and MJ is addicting.

yes, every day people rape kill lie and steal even though they are not bad people cause they get drunk and dont care what they are doing. if they were smoking weed instead of drinking than they would not have done such retarted things. people die every day as a direct result of alcohal, car wrecks and overdoses just to name a few. i have never heard of someone smoking so much weed that they overdosed and when your high, if you drive you still have enough sence to drive carefully.

Its not a good idea, we have enough lazy people , already, it
still deters some of the responsible citizens, from trying it.
I think if the punishment, was internment in a hard labor camp.
The repeat offenders would dwindle.
