Some programs allow you to change features installed such as Microsoft Office 2003 for instance. You can hit change to uninstall for instance Outlook. Remove only means you can only remove it, there are no changes that can be made.

Don't quite understand the logic in your question. On the add/remove program built into your Microsoft system is just what is says, "add/remove". That is all you can do with this program remove any program that you have installed and no longer want in your system. (Owise it does nothing else put use the built in wizard to uninstall any program that you click on to remove).

There are programs that you may have installed that when you go to use the add/remove it will ask you if you want to fix it or remove the program. This will only happen with certain programs that you have downloaded an have these features.

Hope I have answered your question.

Some programs have a repair option built in, the remove only just means that you do not have access to this feature.

That means there is no repair or fix (install again) to help you fix errors that might occur. You can only remove (un-install the item) not repair it..Thanks
