I was trying on this sweatshirt and I had a white shirt under it. So when I took it off I had all this lint ALL over me. So I thought after it gets washed it will go away. So today I try it on and it happens again just hardly any better than the first time. How do I get rid of this?

Lint roller or tape is fine to remove lint from the undershirt...but how to get the black sweatshirt from leaving lint? And yes, I have washed and dried it already. It is a heavyweight Jansport.

1/4 cup white vinegar in the wash or rinse cycle. no it won't make your clothes smell - promise! it's actually a cleaning, desenfecting and (in the rinse) softening agent. i don't know why or how it work for the "pills" (lint) but -- it does.
good luck!

You can get a really good lint roller in H&M, my girlfriends black jacket was totally covered in lint and that removed all of it perfectly. It is like a roll of sticky tape on a handle, the lint sticks to the tape. When the tape gets covered in lint you just peel off the tape, this gives you a new layer to use again. She finds it better than the everyday lint rollers and much quicker than masking tape and tweezers! :P

yeah, use the lint roller and duct tape, and you can drag the duct tape if those little suckers are stuck too good. But don't be chicken to do the obvious and make your hand into a little fast lint pick and pick off the worst of it; People act like this is a bigger deal than it really is if you do it quickly. And the other obvious is to donate that one to a charity and go buy another one.

It sounds like a nice sweatshirt. If you wash it enough to get rid of the lint you probably wont have a sweatshirt left or it will look bad. All I can say is the shirt looks good on you and worry about the link when you do wash next to get rid of it on your white shirt under it.

Use a lint roller. Or if you are a cheapster like me, get some duct tape and make a bracelet-like ring out of it with the sticky side out. Then dab the tape over the fabric.
For best results, wear the shirt while using the duct tape.

If the sweatshirt is black you can use a wet washcloth. Works well on my black pants!
Lint brush or use masking tape - the sticking part will pick up the lint

I have a white fleace sweatshirt that gets black fuzzies....
I first use a 3m lint roller,
take a razor (like one I shave with) over it and get the fuzzies loose, then go back over it with the lint roller a second time.
works great.

try a lint roller if that doesn't work use a straight edge razor to loosen the lint and tape or a lint roller to take it off completely.

most effective is still the duck tape. But remember, remember not to wash this item with others that "shed" fluff, viz new towels, woolly clothes. I usually separate this buy partly hand washing before or after my shower, then put the item into the washing machine in a clean/thin pillow case or laundry bag first. I'm not sure if you can get such bags over your country, if not, make one of sheer curtain fabric.
