Why is it that those that do the gay bashing here never seem to allow emal or IM?

It seems these people like to pontificate and bash, but are afraid of getting personal responses. Are they weak? Lacking in intelligence necessary to back up their positions? Afraid of receiving the sort of responses they so quickly proffer? Afraid some transsexual or homosexual witch is going to cast an email spell on them?

I"m sick of weak-kneed hate mongers who don't have the backbone to do anything other then post their venom and run away. Why is it so tough to openly back up your positions, and so easy to splatter the board with hatred and then run away like a wayward grafiti vandal?

If you're trying to be like Jesus, you're failing miserably. Jesus wasn't a vandal or a frightened child, but rather, when he said something, was there to back it up, and so were the apostles. Why is it so frightening for the Bible totin' bashers to do the same?

(There are a few that allow email or IM, but these do seem to be the exception.

It's not that I'm unforgiving, because I certainly am. I'm also willing to turn the other cheek. Sometimes though, People post something that's contrary to even their own scriptures, or that's contrary to demonstrated scientific fact, or they state statistics that have been proved wrong.

On occasion, I have sought to supply these people with better or more accurate information. Seems that they aren't interested in a dialog, only to come here and spew hatred and lies. I was just wondering if they had a better reason than that to be the school-yard bully hiding behind the teacher's skirts.

CoA,, Nice bit. I think that you might like to know that my knowledge of Christian Scripture is superficial only in that I don't accept it. Otherwise, it's probably more extensive than that posessed by most people claiming to be Christian as I studied it for quite some time.

Your bringing up John 8:10 is interesting in that he was pointing out the ineffectual people who did not wish to stay around and defend their positions. Much like what happens here. Interesting viewpoint. Do you think then that he was in favor of them passing judgement over this woman in the first place?

What does giving ones address profit you or them? Do you not have enough forum to state your opinion. Your indignance is faulty and insipid... and the only weakness I see is in your logic in linking all manner of ridiculous conclusions to the unrelated task of giving email addresses.

You by this forum's rules and the first amendment have a right to speak.... we all do even those who disagree with you. NONE of us has a right to be listened to or to annoy other people with correspondence when so desired.

And your knowledge of the Christ is superficial as well. He often made his statement and went on His way, leaving his message to be pondered. And His sole message was not only as some would have you believe, "judge not lest ye be judged".... as good as that was and "woman... where are your accusers?" as well, look further it was followed by a command that is oft ignored....

"Go... and sin no more."

The point of YA is to ask and answer questions. Getting emails and IMs are just an extra "frill" and an opportunity to develop friendships, not for confronting other users.

Why do you want to confront these people via email and IM? Just say your piece in the answer box and go on to another question. Don't let it bother you. I don't think Jesus would email or IM someone that didn't agree with his teachings. Turn the other cheek.

These people are cowards and they enjoy causing chaos with their words. All they really care about is insulting us and telling us we are wrong and disgusting, when really that is how they are feeling about themselves. As far as the bible, that is the only defense they can use to their advantage. They don't have e-mail addresses shown because they only want to cast hate against people that they know nothing about, they could care less about hearing what we really have to say. I agree with you 100%.

I understand why people keep their emails private here. I left my email open to people for a while, but all I got was goose-stepping Nazis, mean black girls who yelled, and the White Pride World Wide people sending me all kinds of hate mail.

People like to have the last word I suppose, and people who don't leave their email open for senders simply don't want to read some mean replies, which is sort t of understandable.

It can be that they don't care what anyone has to say about their responses. If you didn't want a response, you shouldn't have asked a question. Best you can do is report them and get their answer removed. You're not gonna say anything to change these people anyhow, so why get so worked up?

However, I am certain that, if the bible is any indication, Jesus would be right there with the gay-bashers. There is anti-gay passages in the bible. I'm just saying people shouldn't listen to them, or indeed the book as a whole.
