Which should I get? A metal one or a plastic one?

I like metal better because you can use your blow dryer to heat it up and get some extra curl out of your lashes. I think the best ones are metal and have a good spring coming up from the bottom of it. Don't just get one with the prongs, look for the little spring.

Now, that I think about it I can't think of a plastic one I've ever like or remotely worked well.

I have a "purse-sized" plastic one I keep in my work drawer, that I keep thinking I should throw away because of how worthless it is.

GET METAL! :)
Revlon has a good one I like, it's gold. I think it cost $6 bucks at CVS.

Invest in a well made metal one. Get one where you can replace the foam strips that come into contact with your eyelashes. A good metal one will outlast any plastic one. I've had my Revlon metal eyelash curler for many, many years and I use it everyday, sometimes more than once!

I think the metal eyelash curlers work better, because they are easier to use, are pretty much foolprof, and work better.

Get whichever fits into your budget.

Just make sure you wipe it after you use it with alcohol to keep it germ free, as it's going next to your eye, and you don't want an eye infection.

They both have the same rubber line that curls the lash so whichever is cheaper. Same things just different handles.
