94 camaro Security light comes on? Why?

i have 94 camaro - my dummy lights in dash are confusing me...i dont believe i have any type of security system on my car but the light comes on about every 3 or 4 days....what in the world is this thing trying to tell me...and is this why they call them "dummy" lights?

Your 94 Camaro has a anti-theft system that uses a key with a pellet in it. Have it ck by tech familiar with these systems.
