Well, according the the US Cenus Bureau, race is just a mean of self-identification.

You have people with the same skin color but they identify as different races, then there are the ones with similar skin colors who identify as the same race. But its not so easy. It has more to do with common features, like culture, ethnicity, language, history, nationality. Race is just a simple term that people use to attempt to summarize all of that, but they're way off base.

Like I said, race is for self-identification. And people that know and understand their culcture, ethnicity, language, history, nationality, and other stuff should most likely know which race they identify as. Shared physical characteristics play a part, too. A big part, but as far as biology goes, theres no difference.

There are people with similar skin colors but extremely different other phsycial characteristics. Then there are the ones with different skin colors but their phsycal characteristis are similar.

It just depends on all the different factors. It's not easy to sum up in a short answer. I didnt' even touch all of it. But its not just skin color.

Well..I hope this posting didn't make me sound stupid lol

race is a group of people of common ancestry,/mankind the human race.,or variety of human race., the different skin colors, whether its black, brown, yellowish or white are groups of human race. so it considered as human race and the same in any manner of races. skin colors are not the basis of racial discrimination.,we are all human beings and no reason to deffirentiate the skin colors., we are all equal, if we considered the meaning of race as equality of every individual human being.

Because it always comes back to that categorizing thing I was talking about in another Question Thread. People don't like things to be too complicated; they want to be able to put you and me in a box and say we are "This."

The whole race issue on this planet makes me really think the human race is kinda retarded.

As far as I am concerned there is just one race The human race, however the government feels the need to classify people. That is the only reasonable explanation I can possibly come up with. God bless, I am very curious to see the responses you get to this question. thanks for asking.

It's about culture. That "color" thing is a rabbit trail. Don't bother with it.
