Bush is unpatriotic. He lied to the American people about reasons to go to war. Close to 3000 American service people are dead because of his lies.
You exercised your freedom of speech.
Bush is truly the "Un-American".

What is the matter with you????? Whatever Americans feel about our President is OK, but don't you see that all these idiots (including you) who are so disrespectful to our President are causing people of other countries to feel the same way? Not only will they disrespect our President, it will include all of US too. I can't believe you and all the others like you. It makes me ashamed. Whoever is the President deserves respect because he has been elected by the majority. Give it a rest and grow up!

It's not un American, but it is pretty ignorant.
Look, you got the idea that Bush is dumb from your parents. Why don't you ask them what they think about the shirt? If they want you to go make a political statement among other students that probably can't even vote, and are willing to take whatever heat comes down about it, then go ahead.
But if you're gonna be childish enough to wear the shirt, at least be adult enough to put your parents on notice that they're going to be hearing about it.

It's not un-american but it is rude.
It's like wearing a shirt that has your face on it with the saying "Stupid B***h.
How would you feel, you'd probably want to kick that persons' a*s.
lol.
I'm not saying you shouldn't be able to express your freedom of speech but just try to avoid trouble and do it out of school.
I'm trying to relate because I'm in high school and I know teachers can over exaggerate.
I don't like Bush but I don't hate him.
I'm just one of those people who tries to just go on with life.
But yeah, I'm just saying you shouldn't wear it just because if they get enough complaints they'll give you detention or something so just avoid problems and wear it out of school.
I hope you liked me answer.
peace outt.

No it's not un-American but it is disrespectful. Didn't your parents teach you about the proper time and place for things? I can't wear something like that to work and it's not the proper place at school. You have tons of free time and plenty of other places to wear it. I don't care for some of Bushs stances on things but hate? I have some "colorful" messages on t-shirts myself but there are times and places where it would be inappropriate to wear them. With freedom comes responsibility.....use your judgement wisely.

Lets talk about what IS American. Free speech IS American. You are using your right that many people in other countries still don't have. Just think, if your shirt playfully called Fidel dumb in a Cuban school you'd probably be in jail right now.
I think its great that as a young person you have political views. Your views, no matter what they may be, will not please everyone all of the time. Political views are entirely subjective, and you are entitled to your opinion.
Wear your shirt tommorrow if thats what you want to do. If they give you any more problems call the ACLU. You have a right to free speech. Political figures are fair game. You are not being hateful toward any religion, ethnic group, etc.

No it's not unamerican or unpatriotic no matter what anyone says. Patriotism in my opinion is loyalty to your country and no one can tell you whether you are or not. It's like being a Christian, only you can judge your Christianity (and God). On the other hand high school is probably not the best place to make overt political statements, no matter the content. So I personally would find other venues to express my opinion.

Not Un-American; but you are being stubborn for your own reasons with inappropriate actions. in defiance of your teachers. There are many places you can wear your shirt and attract less attention, and even stimulate debate. School is not one of those places.

Look, the bottom line with this is that you have a constitutional right to free speech regardless of the reaction it espouses which will logically depend upon who the audience is and its unspoken allegiances. You are exercising your American rights and for a teacher to co-erce you out of those rights of which our country is founded, should be an issue for debate within the school. And, if the school is just, it will re-consider its position and you will win.

Not un-American, just stupid.
You don't have to like the president, but he IS the president.
you are probably one of those children that disrespects all kinds of people. But, I just blame your parents.
So, enlighten me, since obviously you are of a high school or younger age, why is it that you "can't stand" BusH?
EDIT ~ you know, you stated that "anyone who knows me" knows that you can't stand Bush. So why do you feel the need to break rules or disrespect your teachers by doing something they asked you not to? that's how i can tell what kind of person you are.
EDIT #2 ~ hey ROCK 55 if i were to wear a shirt depicting an abortion, how would you feel about that? what about an Edwards/Kerry shirt depicting them as gay lovers? PLEASE... you would NOT give me the answer you gave her
