It is really starting to get on my nerves, and they'll do it right when they are racing too. It's like they show more commercials than racing, which is total BS.

I completely feel your pain, man. It really annoyed me to no end today! Every time the racing got good, NBC would just go to commercials. Then, there would be a caution or something and I wasn't able to see what happened because I was too busy watching Bank of America commercials! Arg! I am so tired of it...but that's NBC for ya. All they do is make a bunch of commercial breaks, missing all the great race action. Fox will be presenting NASCAR shortly during the beginning of next season, but unfortunately you, me, and everybody else will have to put up with NBC.

Its not just NBC. This has been going on all year with every network that carries NASCAR. There are so many sponsors and they all want to be on. NASCAR has seemed to forgotten that we watch to see the race, not the commercials. I wish there was a pay-per-view option for like $4 a week like the movies the cable TV shows. I'd pay to get the uncommercial feed on most of the races, especially the last 10 chase races. But, until then I turn on the radio and get more coverage than the TV and use the mute button.

You don't understand that the major networks like NBC (NothingBut Commercials) is how they operate? Very irritating. I listen to the radio to ESPN, have the sound turned off on the TV. Did you not notice how once in awhile they lose the feed for a couple of seconds while their local affiliate tries to cut in? NASCAR is quickly making me lose interest. I've been a diehard fan for forty years.

The TV contracts with the advertisers require them to show so many commercials during the race. They fit them in when they can. I have noticed that they do try to have them all done by the last 10 laps or so.

Elvis here's the scoop! If it wasn't for the commercials the wife would have to stay home & do the beer runs to the fridge. Besides they are some of the best ads on the boob tube. At least on NBC we don't have to listen to that clown Waltrip or Hammond.

The sponsors of the commercials pay the Sponser of the show so you can watch Nascar without having to buy it in a PAY-PER -VIEW.

It's all about sponsors, and it's all about $$$$$$$$$$$$$.
Wouldn't be so bad if they would CUT the commercials and go back to the race when something happens. sometimes they do, but not very often.

no..it's more like
"we interuppt your regularly shcedule commercials for this brief yellow lap during the race"
OMG!! i was seriously going to throw something at my tv yesterday since i could not scream at it. they missed just about every incident that caused a caution..missed big incidents that effected points..and for the love of freakin' learn which driver is which..
i hate NBC..three more weeks and we can enjoy racing again.
