My husband and I were watching a show on msnbc investigates, where husbands or wifes hire hit men to kill their partner, Kindas got me a little scared, I hope my husband never hires a hit man or something. How well do we really know what our significant others are capable of

You really don't - people have secrets and you don't know until its too late. Scary. You just have to take chances. Try not to worry about it tho, you could drive yourself nuts thinking about that kind of stuff!

Such a good question!! I have to wonder if any of us know our mates really well. My first husband was a teacher and pastor. I never one time thought he could ever molest our sons but he did. And he had homosexual partners too. I was with my second husband 24 years and not once did he let me see who he was in his heart. I learned a lot over the years and none of it was very comforting to know.

Up until recently, I thought I knew him like he was almost me. Boy was I wrong. A cheat, a liar, a sneak, and a manipulator. Turns out i was living with a total stranger for the last 10 years.

to a degree i think i know him pretty well. but some times he amazes me with his love and capabilities. if we find out everything in one lump sum. were would the magic be.isn't that what marriage is about the discovery and wonderment?usually those people are nuts when they get married,and just want to murder for money or what they think is love.

we never know the dark side of our mates, and lets hope we never see it, hope it never comes out.we go on for years, trusting, loving, taking care of a person, we trust that person with our life. but sometimes something goes terribbly wrong, and circumstances force us to see them as they truly are, and maybe always were. we never really know anyone.

My husband and I know that we both have secrets and dark sides. But we also know how far we would go when things go awry between us. I guess it depends on how well you know each other.

Well how well do we know anybody for that matter ? do you think you know all there is to know about your parents ,i dont think so . We would like to think that we know them 100%,but trust me we dont. Good luck and god bless.
