Yes! Thanksgiving is a big production at our house. If you're interested, I've written a Thanksgiving Planning Guide. It's posted at Holiday Fun. It is a couple of posts down from the top now.
This is a planned version of how I handle the holiday. It makes it nice to be able to get up on Thanksgiving morning and not panic about all of the cooking because I am well prepared.

I have done Thanksgiving at my home for 25-30 family members for 10 years now! I used to stress a LOT about the food and making sure everything looked nice in the house. My husband hired a cleaning woman who comes in once a week for an anniversary present two years ago. NOW I mainly focus on the food and decorations since the house is all clean and perfect from my AWESOME pro who does all the tough stuff. She's my HERO!

Not usually but this year we are! I am so excited because it's the first Thanksgiving in my house (we moved here 2 years ago and we haven't had Thanksgiving in it yet). I'm really excited because we don't have to make our usual trek up to Massachusetts (I live in Maryland) which is a very long car ride with 4 other people! haha

There is normally a v ery small group at my thanksgiving dinner, so we normally get a rotiserie chicken from the deli at the grocey store the night before. then we make the side dished, corn mashed potatoes etc...buy premade gravy, buy a really good cheese cake and make a pumpkin pie. That is really simple not completely home made and you call tell every one you made it.
Or
I have also have a large family that io nly have thanksgiving with one every 5 years, and when we get together we divide everything up between us and whose ever house we are eating at they take care of the turkey or the meat part of the dinner and the gravy. and every one has to bringa dessert ie pie.

We have 25 family members come to our home for Thanksgiving. I do all my cleaning two weeks ahead of time, I delegate all the side dishes & plan for pizza the day after Thanksgiving. We have a blast together and no one stresses out.

It is just my husband, our Siamese cat and I for Thanksgiving. I make it very easy by doing the bird in the bag trick. I get up early, wash and skin the turkey, season it and then put it in one of those roasting bags. I poke a few holes in the bag, set it in a roasting pan and let 'er bake for about 3or 4 hours at 325 degrees. No basting at all and it comes out nice and moist, even the breast. It only takes me about 20 minutes to do the side dishes and then we feast. I make a strawberry cheesecake the night before.

Every year We always end up going to my husbands' Aunt-(his mother's sister)for dinner and stop in at his grandmothers house-(father's mother) as his parents are divorced. If we don't eat at at any relatives house, they will take that as a insult so we have to make sure we don't over stuff ourselves so we have room when we go to the other relative.
Everyone is doing their own thing this year as people are going out of town so it looks like I will be cooking for the 1st time in a couple years and I am trying to figure out what to serve so I don't make a lot as my husband is a picky eater

Our family has gotten so ridiculously HUGE, we cant stand in the kitchens all night and day cooking..it would take a freakin week! SO... we cater out! Everyone comes over and the food just needs to be picked up.. its so easy and is absolutely a 'smooth' sailing event!
