I'm tall, chubby (size 16), don't wear make-up, and completely unfeminine but not by choice! I'm looking for a way to slowly become more acclimated to a girlie girl lifestyle without having to sift through all the magazines of glossy girls, which will only make me want to A.) Get plastic surgery or B.) Become anorexic. Is there a compromise website/magazine out there with good advice and helpful tips?
I'm looking for advice on health, make-up, how-to stuff (like how to learn to wear high heels), and similar stuff. My friends joke that maybe I need to look for websites for trannys and that thought seriously depresses me.
How did any of you do it, especially if you're like me and didn't have a female rolemodel to help you with this stuff?

Ok, start with yourself.........breathe, breathe again, and smile.
1. Now practice smiling every time you pass a mirror, this will make you happier with yourself.
2. Now look at your clothing. Are you happy with it?
3. If not, take an hour at a time, and go to a mall. Look for fashionalble clothing....remember just looking to try on.
So try on fashionable clothing and see what colors and styles make you look best.
4. Now go to another store and do the same thing. Don't forget to smile at yourself while trying on different styles.
5. So if you had to invest in a new outfit, which ones made you fell really special....and don't buy it.
6. If you really liked it and the way you looked, you'll go back and find those styles again....and have the fun of picking new styles.
7.. You will start to coordinate your colors and new styles, and of course you're laughing and smiling while doing this exercise in change.
8. Allow yourself to change....yes and if you want to make sure you're eating right....more veggies, and fruit to your die, you're bound to feel better about yourself.
So start with baby steps, and then take bigger steps to becoming more of the person you actually see within yourself.
Good luck and happy window shopping and becoming more attractive to you first, and then to the universe!

I WOULD LIKE TO LET YOU KNOW!!!!!!!!
PINK, PURPLE, AND LIGHT COLORS DONT = GIRLY
you need to pick colors that look good with your hair, eyes and skin tone.
most pink & purples look hideous on people. I never wear them.
First things first you need to stop thinking that you aren't pretty and don't know how to be girly. I think some good ideas would be to start with a fresh new haircut. It doesnt have to be expensive. You should get something simple and easy to work with. Once you have cut your hair buy some nice shampoo & conditioner.
I have found that Dove Advanced Care Sheer Moisture works really good. Its like 6 bucks at alberstons. Its in a light blue bottle.
After the hair cut you should call up one of your more girly friends and tell them you would like them to teach you how to apply make-up. If you are not comfortable doing this, you can visit
http://www.applymakeup.com
Before you buy any makeup though you MUST MUST MUST consult a makeup person ( those people in the white coats at nordstroms for example) Dont be shy or nervous, I remember when I was first starting to wear makeup I was very nervous & didnt want to ask for help but they WOULD LOVE to help you so ask them to match you with a color that is perfect for yuor skin. they can even match you with the right texture.
I suggest going to clinique they are super friendly, and not in your face or stuck up.
Next Its time for clothes. I am tall as well 5'8 and I think the best thing you can do is buy your self one pair of SUPER NICE jeans.
Citizens
Sevens
Paige
these are all good brands and they are very form fitting !!! they will make you look great!!!

im like u, but Im 5'1'' and just not that girly.
Ok, this is what I would do:
Slowly become into that feminine role by taking steps. If you come to school all dolled up w/ makeup, heels, and stuff people might think your trying to change your image. But if you gradually change then they'll just think your changing into a new you.
Oh those girls that you see in the magazines? Don't believe it! Those girls w/ the perfect bodies are photoshoped and edited to look like they have glowing perfect bodies.
Ok with that being said:
-I would start off with a little mascara to school. With a clear lipgloss, or a tinted color chapstick. Ask your friends how to put on mascara, I didn't and I got it in my eye lol.
-I have no idea how to walk in heels, the only suggestion I have is try no more than a 2 inch heel.
-Ballet flats are cute, but girly. Heres one thats not too girly but actually kind of punkish:http://www.hottopic.com/hottopic/store/product.jsp?FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302024522&PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524442144418&bmUID=1162168092871

Size 16 is not big and if your tall i bet you look great, don't know how old u are tho,
First thing which is a most important is hygiene, and keep your teeth clean, no use wearing make up and stylish clothes if u stink and your teeth are yellow,
Keep your hair fresh too also make sure your clothes are clean and ironed. then u can start wearing make up, never to much and don't go for lots of bling, gently and slowly no rush.
There are lots of web sites to help OR even look through some mags

I know how you feel. I am a chubby girl too, but i would start with the make-up. make sure you start off slow and go from there. like start with some eyeshadow and mascara, lipstick and blush. start wearing more girly colors like pink, purple and colors like that. as far as the heels go i would start with little heels and work your way up. the first few times i would wear them around the house because you go with them.

Hey there girl! Nothing wrong with Trannies! Some of my (real) girlfriends think I look better and do better makeup than "real" women. You just might learn something...
