in gym class, and we have it fr 3 weeks out of the month. Chances are- i'm gonna have my period for 1 of those weeks, and I don't wear tampons. What should I do? My gym teacher is a girl- what should i tell her??

Well first of all you don't need to use a tampon for swimming, there are a lot of different menstrual options and tampons are the most harmful, you can always used cloth pads or padded panties with some shorts over the top, or you could get yourself a menstrual cup or softcups that go into your vagina to keep blood from coming out.
If you really don't want to swim then just tell your gym teacher, she will have no problem at all letting you out of swimming during that time.

I think you should just tell the gym teacher. Especially if you feel comfortable around her. Jusat tell her that you can't swim today because you have your period. I'm sure she'll understand- i mean- she's a girl, she goes through the same thing you do every month.

You could probably tell her the deal and she'll excuse you from class, but maybe you could try tampons. If you're scared talk to your friends who do wear tampons about it... they don't hurt and they don't mean you aren't a virgin. well you could start using tampons... id honestly say that tampons are waaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better then pads, i hate pads... or you could buy a box of them just for that class

Just don't bring your swimming gear that particular lesson... and if you're quizzed on it then just tell your teacher the bare bones truth.... Its not as if she can force you to participate.

well they wouldnt let you go in a pool with a pad on... so either your teacher would be understanding enough to let you skip that week... or you just have to wear a tampon (its not that bad!)

u should come clean to ur teacher & dont be afraid..... If she doesnt take it, ask ur mom 2 wirte u a note, or maybe the skool nurse
