With Pinella as manager, they should be ALOT better than they were last year. If they can have both Wood and Prior healthy, they would be real contenders.

And this is coming from a Cardinals fan!!!!!!!!!

WE JUST WON THE WORLD SERIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think what you say would be true for any team in the Major Leagues. Two good starting pitchers and a strong bullpen would help any team win and win big. BUT, the Cubs also need some spirit and a winning attitude. Pinella may just be the man to move them in that direction.

well guess what the cubs way of defence and offence is horrible. the line up is always a disaster. baseball is like war u want to put a order where u know that your goin to win. also the players are bad. this is why the are never going to be any good.

they will be much better now, with the new manager...they are a very classic and traditional baseball team. although the chicago white sox are a newer more stronger team, i still prefer the traditional games of baseball.....i had the best experience ever at Wrigley Field...dont worry they will win and the spell will be gone...stupid goat.

they are like the arizona cardinals of baseball, no matter who they bring in (Emmitt Smith, Kurt Warner, Edgerin James, Matt Lienert) they will never win or be good.
