Can someone explain the very end of Blair Witch project to me? I'm sooo confused. What happened in the house?

Earlier in the movie they explain how the guy that was killing the children would make a kid stand in the corner, facing the wall while he killed another child. So when they go into the house at the end, the one guy is standing in the corner, facing the wall and all of a sudden the girl holding the camera gets clobbered.
It only really makes sense if you were paying attention during the whole movie.

The witch ended their life in the most horrible way for the movie viewer. By not showing anything. No blood. No struggle. No actual sighting. Only the camera dropping and one of the most rare moments in cinematography when you can almost feel that there was pretty cold in that basement.

It was said that she sends her victems to the corner before she kills them. The camera falls and stops to show that the witch got the girl and that it was the end of the film in the last working camera.

i saw this years ago, but i thought the guy in the corner was hanging... and that is why she was screaming... and they were all killed in the house.. i liked the 2nd one... not the first. in the 2nd one, they say "this is where they found the tapes" (also where their cameras went nuts and things started going wrong for the entire movie which i thought was excellent)... i thought the witch was supposed to sneak up on them and kill them.. and scare everyone that thought it was real

I think it was Jason (the friend who was lost. was that his name?) who were standing in the corner. Which means he was about to die or something, because exactly that thing had happened to a person before him.
I'm sorry if this is all wrong, it's been a long time since I've seen the movie..

well use your imagination but they show somthing in the corner and all of a sudden the camera is dropped and no sound
