You can try Firefox without uninstalling Explorer and see how it goes. It has a popup stopper and there's no need to uninstall Explorer.
You can get it from here, also check out the new photo software, V good, both free :)

Most problems with the explorer I've seen are because some other software using the resources that the explorer need, this add ware, search bars, companions and crap make more complicated for the SysOp to close the application. Rather than reinstall or overwrite newer versions, you should install the trash software you have on your hard drive, run an spy ware application, a full scan from your anti virus, and after that, clear all your temporal directories from Internet and windows. I hope it helped you, if you need further assistance send me an IM

Sounds like Micro$oft have abug there, I'm sure they'll patch it soon. You could uninstall and reinstall and see if that helps. How about reverting to IE6 until then. Or the good old answer, try Firefox.

Easy enough. GET FIREFOX!!!!
In some ways, IE7 is even WORSE than IE6! At least for now, because there are still a LOT of websites that are designed for IE6, and are now not compatible with IE7!!! Unbelievable, but true!
So..... GET FIREFOX!!! Especially now that v. 2.0 is out!

I would suggest you to go to www.download.com and install a FireFox. I use to have problems with Internet Explorer before, but since I have Firefox, I don't have any problems, its faster and more secure than the Explorer. give it a try.

Do a roll back (system restore) on your machine and go back to your old version of IE. IE 7 is FULL of bugs and problems - stay with what you had and wait for an updated version before changing.
