Managers are suppose to as well. Maybe if you find this you should speak up when you see it. Let the manager know he/she is suppose to not only make sure that the shift runs smoothly but also to set the example and follow the right procedure for handling food as well. LL.

Most fast food managers don't hold a position even though they sometimes have no choice. I would like to believe that they do wear gloves when handling ready to eat foods,

As far as the hat goes I would hope the manager has enough sense to keep her hands out of her hair. a hat is keep you from picking up bacteria from the head area.

Iv always wondered that as well. I think its for a few different reasons.
1. they want us to look more professinal.(the manager needs to stand out)
2. At mcdonnalds anyway...the manager is not suposed to be in a position. (visable active manager) that doesnt happen very offten though...never enough crew for that.
3. Managers have super magical hair that doesnt come out lol
