If a man gets a sex change, he is no longer a man. SHE is a woman. So if SHE then falls in love with a woman SHE would be gay.
P.S Your girlfriend has too much time on her hands to be worrying about these things... Like we believe your girlfriend made you ask!

Personally, I am frequently found within ladies' company myself, but it is true I get on and relate better to the male mentality. However, relationships with the opposite sex always seem to be more complicated (albeit more enjoyable), so I can't really say I stay in constant touch with most of them. The times when we do enjoy each other's company, though, we communicate perfectly and I have personally observed we tend to learn lots from each other. I do find it easier to respect them than most women and the ones I actually respect are much more valuable as friends than most people of the same sex (out of the ones I've met, at least). Yet I think it's not about their being men, but rather about the fact that most of them are straightforward and don't talk unless they have something essential to talk about. That simple quality is rarely found in women.

Lesbian. "His" gender in, in the mind, is female. After the sex change, the body will match. People will relate to "him" as a woman. Therefore he becomes she fully, and by loving a woman, is a lesbian.
I find it interesting, though, that you say 'he finds that he loves women', as though it's something he wouldn't have known, that by wanting a sex change you automatically like men. Many men have sex changes having loved women their whole lives (straight) and knowing they will continue to do so after the transition (lesbian).

If a man gets a sex change to become a woman it's because they were born a male when they, in fact, are really a female. So I would say that if this person likes women they are gay.

No, *SHE* is a lesbian, or maybe bi.
Someone who goes from being male to being female is, deep down, female. Once they change their body to match, they're both mentally and physically female. If they love women and only women, then she is definately a lesbian.

On the inside, he is straight because he loves this woman but oddly enough his body is a lesbian.

i think that in order for a man to get a sex change to be a women, he would consider himself a woman. if that woman then loved another woman, she would be a lesbian.
