I guess I'd prefer a doctor who laughed at the words rather than at mine - hehe.

Some people just naturally find mention of male genitalia or the wrods used to identify their component parts to be funny and they aren't being unprofessional or ignorant; merely acting out of some tendency of theirs to think certain things are funny.

However, for a doctor who probably sees more genitals than anyone else except maybe a nurse, I think it is a little unusual for them to laugh at the mention or the words. By now they should be as used to the real thing as they are to talking about them.

I suppose one thing woudl be to make sure every time you see that doctor you swing the discussion to make parts and use the words freely. Make liie you really are concerned about yours and want to learn everything there is to know about them from your doctor. Maybe after a few sessions the doctor will get used to the words.

Alternatively, it is never wrong to question your doctor whether it is to get a thorough explanation of a diagnosis or to express concern about a diagnosis. So, consider you have just diagnosed your doctor as having a funny bone in a genital sense and ask them why they always seem to find mention of male parts humourous. Who knows, maybe thye are just reacting out of some sense of their own embarassment when in discussions of genitalia and you openly asking them might help them get more comfortable.

Tell your parents you want to find a new doctor. If they ask why, tell them the truth. This guy is supposed to be professional. He went to college for years to learn about the human body and still giggles about a penis? Find a new doctor. That's just creepy and I'm an adult male.

Start a really serious (but fake) conversation with him about male genetalia, and try to get him to say thsoe type of words as many times in a sentece as possible.

Each time you go back to him try to beat your previous record.

Get a new doctor. He is obviously being unprofessional and needs some lessons in being tactful.
