Would You Consider Italians As White?

OK.. well this question has been bothering me allot,over basically my whole life but more recently over the past year i have been thinking and couldn't get it out of my head so i want you guys here to help me ive been doing research and stuff to all over the net too.
According to my info on the net italians aren't white.

I for my self am FULL ITALIAN and i have dark skin but people think iam mexican,and italians have faced much racisim on the arrival to america for the color of there skin, but when i go fill out surveys and stuff it says, black,white,asian and hispanic i don't know which one to choose because my skin color doesn't represent any of them so i end up leaving that part blank, I don't look white at all, but some italians have light skin thats in the north ,Why does the gov't classify middle easterners,medditraneans(italians,greeks,portuguese spain-spanish[spaniards]),northern africans White?? they don't seem ''quiet white''.

no italians are not white for God sake wake up... italians,french and spanish though they are in europe they are latinos, from latin group. i know they dont like to hear this but you are not caucasians u r not whites. period.

The Italians are just as white as other whites. Italians do not need to look to the Scandinavians or other assumed Nordics for
ethnic or racial acceptance or validation.

I find it very ironic that the Scandinavians, who were assumed by the Third Reich to represent the most pure Aryans, are of more than two types. The most pure Scandinavians, and by extension the most pure Aryans, are actually dark skinned Swedes, about 17-23% of the Swedish population.
These dark Swedes probably represent the viking stock of old sweeden. This dark minority of Swedes are the only people on earth who share as a group DOMINANT ALLELES/GENES
for blondish-type hair and hazel eyes. They easily pass for Arabs. Yet they are the only white with dominant race related genes. All other whites have recessive race related genes.

This means only one thing.
It means only that the true whites are swarthy in skin color.
This is proved by the fact that most whites on earth are of the Meditterranean sub-group, of which Italians are good members.

You are not Hispanic. You are not Asian. You are not Black. So then I would say you are white. My grandfather was full blooded Italian and he looked pretty damn white to me. First: i'm italian; Second: are you stupid? I'm as white as british people! In south Italy people are more dark then in north but they still are white! You fool! Here in Italy we have a lot of culture (more than i Germany I bet) and, yes, we go clubbing but we also play chess and read encyclopedias...

I guess I consider Italians white. The Irish faced a lot of discrimination upon their arrival to the US also and skin color didn't play a factor.

Alright man, this question has been asked a ton of times in my life! I am also Italian, in my 27 years and through some investigating, we look white but were not, were Italian my friend, and thats a special thing dude! Live well your Italian!

Many "white" people have dark skin and extremely curly hair.
Many "black" people have very white skin and extremely smooth
hair. Quite often when they say they are black, people call them liars and explanations need to be made, and vice versa.
The important thing is that there is one race, the human race, and God created all and loves all.

Absolutely, Italian people are considered white. There are dark italians and there called sicilians. I am italian and I have a little olive skin. Italians are considered white and nothing else.
