I know America and Europe have them among others but are there any countries that simply just don't have any social programs?

Actually the USA in absolute terms I'm willing to bet has the largest welfare state in the world. In proportion to national spending however it is significantly lower than Sweden and probably most of Europe. In any rate technically it's impossible to starve to death or be denied medical service for life threatening illnesses here.

I think social programs are a hallmark of an advanced and fully functioning society.
To leave the weak and helpless to fend for themselves is to allow pestilent slums to develop, which are sources of disease and crime, and a drag upon society.

Being a native Swede living in the US, I can tell you such a place should not be allowed to exist. Look at the differences in the two places I call home.

Sweden, along with the rest of the Scandinavian countries, has managed to combine typical cold, hard efficiency with liberal european socialism. You can literally eat off the sidewalks there and everyone is eligible for 'welfare'. Crime is rare. Murder makes national news.

United States is harsh. I don't know what happened in this country, but you have moved so far away from self sacrifice for the common good it's a little frightening. I hope to hell I never fall ill here. I am here because I think you need a few good people to show you all how to behave. Christian nation my @$$. Love your neighbor does not include letting them (or their kids) starve, even if they are lazy bastiches.

Unfortunately, no. If there was, I'd move there in a heartbeat. All I ask from my government is protection from force and fraud; I am competent enough to handle the rest.

I wish. I would move there. Imagine a country where you are responsible for your own well-being, where you didn't have to pay for people who milk the system, and where lazy people worked because if they didn't, they wouldn't eat.
