Went out to a Halloween party last night with a girl that I've been seeing. We went out to the local gay bar strip. The girl that I've been seeing is a butch lesbian. Anyway, we go out, I tell her that I'm leaving for a bit to see if I can find one of my friends in the bar 2 buildings down. I come back, and this girl has her arms around some other femme chick and they're holding hands. I walk up to my "date" and say in her ear, "Are you comfortable?" and walk off. She does nothing and remains with the other girl. I come back later and go up to her and grab her arm and tell her in her ear again, "I'M LEAVING". She follows me out, big scene...I yell "f**k you" across the parking lot, she's trying to chase me..ect ect. Then the other girl tries to talk to me, and I tell her "you need to get away from me". How or WHY do butch lesbians seem to have this "player complex"? Or is it just me?

Not all butch lesbians are like that, but I'll grant it to you that some are.
I've heard varying reasons why: 1) imitating men and trying to be cool by being a 'player', 2) there being more butches around than femmes (is that true anymore? I'm not sure), they feel they can 'be' with more than one at a time, 3) no clue.
You should read the book "Female Chauvinist Pigs"- particularly the chapter on lesbian 'bois' and their startling trend of butch brotherhood that is based on "bros before ho's", being a player, etc. Very enlightening, if a little sad.

Why do you continue going out with her if she's so willing to hook up with someone else right in front of you?
How is the 'butch lesbian' 'player complex' any different from the strait men 'player complex'?

Your date can probably better answer that one. You should have just left when you saw her with the other woman and just said nothing. What were you looking to accomplish by making that comment to her? You need to leave her alone and move on. That's the only thing you can do to make things "better" for you.

I would have done what you did at first, but wouldn't have wasted any more time on her by going back. She obviously disrespected you and you deserve better. I don't know about the "player complex", but don't put up with disrespectful behavior and find someone who will respect you.

I wouldn't have bothered going back a 2nd time. I would have left. Too dramatic. Not worth your time. She wants to be a player and have her ego rubbed with the oh no its you I want crud. time to move on.

It's always been my policy to leave with the person who I arrive with on a date.
