but then democrat's themselves make no sense.........
Democrats react on emotion, not facts, so in their minds, they are helping the poor. They react before looking at the entire picture. Truly, they believe that if jobs go overseas, then the US won't be warming the environment as much and more Americans will sign up for their free money giveaway programs and that could bring them a few more votes.

This seems a bit ridiculous.
Most retail goods sold aren't even from the U.S. Those days are long gone.
Republicans are the ones who have been EXPORTING our jobs for higher corporate profits.
Companies who pay minimum wage are the only ones that such a change would effect.
These lower income Americans would contribute more to the economy if they actually had some expendable cash.
I am by no means a Democrat-fiercly independant. Put the blame where it belongs.
The stock market is at an all time high. Oil company profits are also at an all time high (along with gas prices). Big business gets richer and stronger while the American working class bears the worst due to globilization.

It's not just the democrats that want minimum wage raised.
Even with minimum wage as it is, companies are still going overseas. It has little to do with American wages and more to do with the currency and cost of labor overseas - as well as the corporate greed to put more dollars in both the leadership and shareholder pockets.
This is not a Dem or Republican issue, but you sure are trying.
I assume you would like blue collar wages to match those wages in China as well? Perhaps the labor laws should mirror those in Indonesia?
Overseas work is due to corporate greed, first and foremost. It's capitalism run wild. Checks and balances out the window...

If you've taken economics, which it sounds you like you have, you probably know about structural unemployment. This is the unemployment that is often due to wage rigidity. Wage rigidity occurs when you have a price (wage) floor that is set above the natural equilibrium for that commodity (workers). Since it is set above that point, firms will not hire until they reach equilibrium because the benefits to them are not great enough. So, the larger the gap between the equilibrium and the price floor, the larger the unemployment. Raising the minimum wage would increase that gap.
Immigrants are often a reason of a depressed equilibrium. While people may complain about immigration, one of the definite benefits is lower prices.
So goes the theory at least...

Democrats don't hate American jobs. At least I don't think they do. It's a poorly worded question, at best. What does it mean, anyway?
You say that jobs will be lost if wages are increased, because things will be expensive for people to buy.
BUT, the truth is that people who make poverty wages can't afford to buy anything beyond the basic necessities of life. When people stop buying goods and services, jobs disappear because there's no demand for their labor.
Think about it.

Affirmative strikes additionally shelter women persons and if we does no longer have affirmative strikes some whites will locate any excuse to no longer hire an African American regardless of if he/she is as the two qualified as a white. So what would got here approximately if 2 the two qualifed applicants interviewed yet one became white and the different one became black and there have been no affirmative action regulations? The white one would be chosen, exceedingly no remember if that's a at an analogous time as male or till that's a blonde-haired blue-eyed women persons. some whites are in basic terms racist, we as a race would desire to start to confess that lots of the whites are certainly racist. Denial isn't a river in Egypt (which via the way, isn't a white usa the two). Lol.

i don't know what planet you are living on, but us Democrats are for the minimum wage increase, BECAUSE the cost of living is higher. If prices of things increase it is logical to raise the minimum wage, as the cost of living is higher! We raise the wage because the cost of liviing is higher, not the other way around. The minimum wage increasing is not affecting prices as astronomically as you are trying to make it seem. Believe it or not people that make minimum wage are lucky to pay bills that are required for basic living, they aren't purchsding anything else, and companies can afford these ridiculously minimum kikes in wage increses. Let me guess bitter rich Republican, who could give a ****, whether these poor families eat or not?!

The cost of goods is increased much more because of profits than wages. The difference of $2 and hour means very little in the cost of goods, this is a con job by Republicans to endlessly keep the rich getting richer.

New economic models that look specifically at low-wage labor markets help explain why there is little evidence of job loss associated with minimum wage increases.

If they wanted to help the working man, instead of a "minimum wage" they should try to put a national cost of living adjustment. "Minimum wage" increases do nothing more than raise prices for everybody, the middle class especially! They just don't think!

It's your question that makes no sense!
This is just another case of the desperate Conservatives trying to save their control on power by blaming everything that's wrong on The Democrats.
They tend to forget that they have been in control of our Government since 1994 and what ever is wrong today, is of their own doing!
How Sad!
