The tail shaft is a different length which compensates for the transfer case! Why would you want that junk in a 4x4 suburban anyway? Convert it to a 400 TH which will far out last and out perform a 700R4 by miles!!!!!!!!

You will have to change the output shaft, that means complete teardown of both trans. Might as well fix the one in the truck or find a FWD 700.

Have the original trans rebuilt ,it has a stronger case than 2w drive version.

you will have to change the output shaft and possibly have to buy an adapter for the t-case depending on what t-case it is and if you have to change the crossmember you could be into it more money than just rebuilding the original
