There are 2 questions of equal importance and neither of them are the meaning of life, the 2 questions are:

#1 What is the origin of the universe: It is unknown if god created the universe (probably didn't) or how the universe would have come into existence, or maybe this is a computer generated universe.

#2 what is the exact nature of the mind: This question has to do with life after death, is the mind a independant existence, Is the mind interconnected with all other minds and the fact that the mind can only observe itself independant of other minds is really an illusion? Is the source of the mind some other dimension like in the movie the matrix? This is all unknown.

These 2 questions maybe the only ones human beings will never be able to answer.

If I ask - who am I? The answer is nothing but myself. Nothing else and no one else will ever be able to describe who I am. I am the answer to myself I am what I am. Even if I accept this even then the question remains - who am I? This is the point, strange, perplexing but true. The question has an exact answer, but the question still remains – it is answered and yet has not been answered. For no sooner an answer is offered than it becomes a part of the question.

The meanings of life could be in the realisation of this fact – that life is in fact a form of a live question, a question that has no answer but an answer in itself. Nothing else can define life but life it self and then the question remains – what is life? Is it a mystery? Is it an endeavour, a struggle? Or is it a gift and blessing? Or may be life is all of these. What life is depends upon who we are.

In my personal view I can give a less generalised meaning of life. The meanings of my life keeping changing day by day: some days life is like torrential rain that fall on my head, and some days it feels like a blessing; sometimes it a bright day and some other day it like a perpetual night; someday life is close, and some other day it is no where to be found, I have to search for it. I never find a definitive and final answer to the question life. And as I keep searching I feel as if I am burning like a candle in a sphere of light – a gradual spreading of light of m awareness all around.

Let's examine how different we are in comparison to all that is living around us. Our conscious mind separates from all else on the planet. Let's go a step further and contemplate the interconnectedness of being. Notions of telepathy or at least sincere empathy, exchange of ideas and the notion that in some way we are all connected.

Perhaps our purpose is to simply gather information for a collective Godhead, like some type of alien research crew. Tentacles that blindly slither about, doing their best to deal with anything they encounter whether it be mineral or vegetable, animal or edible.

Ah! I love your question....
Now at 52, I think?...I can answer it(from where I see it).

It is this:
To find what your able to do in this life, to the best you can.
It is also to find the talents you have and use them well.
It is most important...
To find that one answer, that holds it all together.
No one can ever find true happiness.....without finding that 'stop-gap' that will fill you 100%.
That is found in one area..only.....
Look around you...and see how we have all this.Look at the roses,
the birds, the trees....and your most favourite person in the whole world....It is no accident!
Seek the one who made it all....And you have found the 'key'...that 99% of people will say''it doesn't fit''!! Only because they have not even put that key!! in the lock.
I have, and it opened a wonderful place....but! warning, it is only for the most serious of people...wanting the real truth. Not for people, who laugh at things they say....are not there.
You could be one of the very few...but lucky ones, an open mind...is the key to your success..!!

We have children all over the world starving and living in deplorable conditions and yet the ultimate question is What is the meaning of life?
We have wars and rumors of wars and yet the ultimate question is what is the meaning of life.
We have sickness and health issues that can't seem to be addresses and yet the ultimate question is what is the meaning of life.
How highly we think of ourselves when we think there is some meaning to this futile existence we call life.
The meaning of life is, like beauty, in the eyes of the beholder.

The ultimate question for me is:

"Money aside, what is better? Amazing V10 diesel with immense torque and unbeatable performance, or thirsty low performing petrol V8 with the sound to drown out angels?"

I wish I could be in the position for this question to provide me with a quandary!

What is the unspeakable name of God? is the ultimate question. The meaning of life, to a human is spiritual growth, to God all of creation is a very, very sophisticated holographic expression of the allness of himself'.
