yes if the innocence was absolutely proven. But only for crimes a murder

I think that the death penalty has been used for centuries in most counties as a way to attain justice. Some countries still use that form of justice ( u.s. ) is just one of many. Less brutal than some areas in the east.

Nay, it's inhumane and against what the Bible says about killing. Even though a person is horribly wrong in committing murders we should not go and do the same thing to them by taking their life. It is better to give them life in prison so they can live with the guilt everyday for the rest of their lives.

I don't agree with the death penalty. There are so many what ifs that come with it. Canada had it many many many years ago, they then took it away, after bringing it back they noticed crime rates going up again so they took it away. Now we just live peacefuly. What if you end up killing someone who was completly inocent?? Also .... especially when it come to a country who's slogan is "In God We trust" isn't it wrong and against God's will to take someone elses life? Doesn't that make the country hipocryte? If "In God we trust" is what the country believes in then wouldn't u trust him to do what the criminal had done. Would be up to him to punish.

This is a decision for "god" and for all others who haven't reached that hight, the answer would definitely be "NAY"! No one has the right to take anyone's life and two wrongs doesn't make a right-at least in my book!!!!!!!!

Nay. We need to fix ourselves before we take someone else’s life. We need to understand when and why someone reaches a stage of being able to commit a crime.
Is it our economy, is it our social life.. or is it the food we eat. We don’t wakeup one morning and decide to commit a crime. There are societies on this planet who have less or no crimes at all; we need to study them.
