Well Dear it's not the norm, however some females experience very difficult menstrual cycles occasional, others every month. For you not being able to see, I'm speculating here, but guessing it's from the migraine, when one has visual problems with migraine it's called an (ocular migraine, originating from spasms of the capillaries in the occipital lobe of the brain). Many women have increased migraines with menstrual cycle, either a few days prior, during there cycle or both. There are some excellent medications, that your GYN doctor could go over with you, and the two of you decide together which one you would like to try. Many people both males and females experience nausea and vomiting with pain. As for sleep, your body probably needs it, for it's being stressed, by the pain, the migraine, the nausea, the vomiting, and then the emotional side is also a stress or. For no one can go through this type of discomfort without experiencing some feeling of emotional overwhelming. Please take my advice, you need to see a GYN physician. One should not have to suffer to this extend with today's medications and the advancement of technology. Thanks for the opportunity to address such a well thought out and intelligent question. God Bless, Take Care. & SEE A DOCTOR.

No, it's not normal and you should see a gynecologist. The migraines are something you do experience prior and during menopause- and that is due to hormonal imbalances. Since it takes forever to get an appointment with the gyno, go see your family doc about the migraines- he/she can prescribe a medication and you wont have to suffer--speaking from experience, I went through the migraine/vomit/cant stand light or noise for over 2 years. They went away after I went through menopause and by the way, having a hysterectomy does not stop the hormone changes if they leave your ovaries in- which they usually do anymore. Good luck

OMG!!! So did I. My sis used to clean it up. Now she is a nurse. I never went to school on the first day of my periods. I have 3 kids now, so the pain and agony you are going through may help you. All of my kids were so easy to have, my family says Im crazy not to have drugs, but I already experienced worse pain. I dont have that problem anymore. My obgyn Dr said to just take Pamprin. It never worked, so just tough it out. It you have to, let the Dr put you on some meds.

I would say that this is not normal. It would probably be a good idea for you to see a doctor. As I am not one, I'm not going to try to diagnose your ailment, but I know people who also have terrible periods and were put on medication to help alleviate some of their symptoms.

No, you need to see a doctor. Whenever you experience something THAT BAD with your period you need to see one. You may have a bad infection or something that needs to taken care of that could cause you more problems than you have now. My aunt was experiencing similar probelms, she had to have something removed but she had them REALLY BAD. I'm sure you're fine and won't have to have surgery or anything, but you might want to consider going to the GYNO and tell him/her what is happening. If you use tampons it could be something like toxic shock but that is really rare.
Hope I helped some!!
Bless you too.

No, that is not normal at all. I'd speak to your doctor about it. At the very least, you may want to consider getting on birth control, which can help regulate your symptoms. Good luck!

This is not normal at all. You need to go to a gynecologist and tell her what's been going on. You deserve to have a more normal life.
