How long is a piece of string? (You can't tell till you have both ends in your hand)!

I can tell you this though, the V-6 engine is not an easy engine to work on. It requires a bunch of special tools, and it does not come apart easily (without breaking other things possible)! My daughter had blown head gasket(s) in engine in her 98 Chrysler - which has the same basic engine, and the garage quoted $1200, - provided it didn't need heads too! ... As luck would have it, - we came across one a year older that had been rear-ended, and changed out the engine (paid $450 for whole car!)

The 4 cylinder engine (which you don't have) is a "piece of cake" though!
