A woman can get pregnant during a period. I don't know the statistics, but it can happen. Do research on the rhythm method. You'll find that it's inaccuracy is a clue, just a hint, of the chance of pregnancy during a period. The period is only getting ready for the next ovulation which is supposed to be in two weeks. If there is something to bring on ovulation early, then a pregnancy can occur during a period. The real question is when does ovulation occur, not the period.

I think the chances are slim, but definately possible. A friend of mine's mom had her period for 3 months before she found out she was 3 months pregnant.

Yes! When you ovulate the egg attaches to the uterus and remains there for several days. You may start your period before the egg is expelled. If you have sperm reach the egg before it is expelled, it can become fertilized and will then remain in the uterus to start your pregnancy. I don't know of the exact percentages but I do know it has happened.

Definitely. I wouldn't take any chances if you are concerned that you might be pregnant. I agree with the response written above which suggested that then only time you are more fertile is during ovulation.

Yep,
You can get pregnant on your period especially if you have a short cycle.
I have attached a link from a reputable site so you do not have to take the word of just anyone.
Hope this helped!

Yes, a woman can get pregnant while she is on her period...and her chances of getting pregnant are sometimes greater when she is doing so...the only time that you are more fertile is when you are actually ovulating.

it is possible, but very rare. i concieved my second child on the last day of a period, but that is because the first year after you have a baby is your most fertile, and my daughter was only 6.5 months old at the time.

Possible but not probable is the best answer I can give you. I've had sex probably on everyday of my cycle. It's whatever when you're married. :)
The joys of being committed. You can do things like that without embarrassment.
