Dirt has bits of ground up rock, minerals, all the elements of the "valance table", - nutrients, rotted plants, animals, (and humans)! The nutrients come from the plant and animal matter (manure too). However if you check ananylize all the stuff you are made of, it is all the same stuff you find in dirt!
This is may be a little "humbling" to you, but the first and lowest form of existance is the dirt (and the water). It would be mighty hard to have this planet without either of these, - and the fact of the matter is,- that there would be no life without it either!
In fact some of the molecules of air you breathe may first have been in the lungs of Jesus! Some of the molecules of rain that falls from the sky, - fell on his head. Since 100% of everything is re-cycled on earth and never lost. The only loss we have had so far is what has been shot up into space, - and that may eventeually fall back to the earth (except for that, --which went "years out in space" from earth!

it depends on where you live. some places have more clay content in the soil, some have more rock or sand. Fertile top soils tend to have more decomposed organic material.

eroded material, such as rocks. Rain, wind, and other stuff wear down stuff to break them into soil.
