My boyfriend and I have practiced safe sex for the past 10 months. We use spermicidally lubed condoms and a water-based lubricant as suggested to avoid dryness. The condom has never broken/torn/ripped, slipped, etc. Yet I am still about 3-4 days past my expected start date. Could there be a possibility that something did in fact happen despite no condom failure?

Sperm are tiny little creatures able to fit through the tiniest of holes in a condom. The condom could have had a small hole that they could have leaked through and you would not see the hole. Since you did do all the "right things" the chances of you having ovulated close enough to when you had sex, the condom having had a tiny hole you didn't see, and the spermacide not working are small. Three to four days late is not incredibly late, but if you are pregnant, a pregnancy test would be positive at this point assuming your cycle is generally regular. Just get a test at your drugstore (get the one with two tests in it so you can be doubly sure and can retest in a few days if it is negative.)
