what is the name of the part that holds the car wiper between the hood and the windshield??????????

The part with all the air vent openings that the wiper transmissions come up through is called a cowl panel.

The cowl panel is the part it all goes through, - but I think you are looking to "see" the part of the wiper assembly! So here goes, first you have the wiper motor assembly, which is hooked up by connector links (this stuff is under the "cowel panel) --, to the wiper transmissions (usually starts below the cowl, - but protrudes through the cowl to outside), -from the transmission you have the wiper arm, and then the actual windshield wiper blade itself!
