Where the heck do you get stupid drivel like this? Of course we care about our servicemen (I am one), we aren't doing anything to the Iraqi and Lebanese civilians (ask al quada and hezbollah why so many of these civilians are dying, they're the ones that don't care), we do care about people dying of diseases, I have a good friend who has Parkinson's disease and he wouldn't want to be cured if it meant another life had to be taken. And lastly, where the HECK do you get INNOCENT from? These are people that are nothing better than murderers, and they would like to kill you. Why don't you care about the innocent children that are being slaughtered wholesale everyday? You are nothing more than a hypocrite who needs to do a little personal values check. Quit trying to pull the 'speck' out of their eyes, and pull the beam out of yours first.

Well I personally have voiced my opinion repeatedly, on how horrendous the war is, and how the deaths of our troops, and Iraqi civilians is unconscionable and patently immoral. I am also a person who is pro-life with respect to the abortion issue. I and many other Christians are fairly consistent with our moral code, especially when it comes to issues of life, and our respect for the dignity of the person.

Unfortunately, the most vocal proponents of the pro-life agenda in the political sphere, do not represent the Christian constituency as a whole, and their inconsistent morality paints us all as inconsistent buffoons who overlook deaths in the midst of war, and only harp on about the rights of the unborn. Life is life whether it is in the womb, or a 90-year-old man clinging on to the last moments of his life.

Unfortunately, many Christians have made a unholy alliance with a political party that likes to straddle both sides of the fence. They pay lip service to protecting the unborn, and then have no qualms about embarking on an unjustified war, that will lead to the slaughter of innocent thousands, some of whom are actually unborn.

True Christians will never make comprises with their morality, to where they will accept the legitimacy of a party if they promote some of their ideas at the expense of others. Our moral code, the true pro-life Christian moral framework, is a package deal. You either take it all, or not all. There is no comprise. This is precisely why Christians should not get politicians to propound their views.

All I can say is to try and read a bit more before posing a question like this. Open-ended and circular is how it is constructed. How you can even compare the things you have is beyond me. You may be turned off on a population of "religious" people based off of the likes and actions of Fred Phelps. Don't be! I am pretty sure that not many like that guy.

Specifically, with no examples of "so many" religious people that are even screaming to support your thoughts, how do you expect that any of the answers you will receive over the Internet to be the right ones? Seems to me you are just looking for examples and other people to support what you already think. Put down the Internet and pick up a few books. Save yourself before it's too late.

Apples and oranges. Every man and woman in the military volunteered to be there knowing there was better than a fair chance of going to war. However, there are no unborn babies who volunteered to be "created" knowing they might be murdered before they had a chance to be born.

No one is preventing stem cell research from happening. No one wants tax money to fund it, however, and there are many private companies doing stem cell research.

"Innocent detainees"? Are you ******* kidding me? Every one of those ******* being "detained" are there for a reason, they aren't innocent. I think you should pull guard detail for a year down at Gitmo so you can see just how "innocent" they are.

You are an idiot. Why are Democrat fine on all of that .Clinton did nothing about any of and if Dems gain control they will continue to nothing. Bush actually signed into law the very first federal funding for stem cell research. There are no innocent detainees.Lebanese civilians? You mean the families of Hammas members who care so little for them that they did not send them away before they started a war.Iraqi civilians are killing each other and we are doing everything in our power to stop it short of undermining the government they elected.
What Liberal crap will you spout next to defend the murder of babies you slime ball baby killer.

Cause with abortion you are killing an innocent life and that is against some peoples beliefs and our service men are doing what they feel is right and they know that they may come out alive or not and most of us unlike you alredy know the consiquences for our servicemen but they still go out and do what they believe in and us "religious"people dont scream about that cause they respect our men in uniform and their beliefs and they already know what could happen to them.

I'm religious and I've never screamed against abortion. The war in Iraq and Afghanistan is necissary to prevent more American deaths, and stem cell research needs to be funded by the government. I'm a republican, yet I bet if I had said that first you woulda stereotyped me already

Because these aare the same individuals that have no problem withhomelss mentally ill dying in the streets, provery stricken babies dying of hunger and the elderly going with out live saving medication. They seem to use their religious poooooint of view to maintain power. God warned us about those who bear false witness.

Most of those "religous" people you are speaking of are republicans, those are their general beleifs, that you should not take the life of a child, but that war and killing innocent people is right. If you think it's wrong just make sure you vote for a democrat or other party this election and the next.

first of all it should be obvious, our men are dying because they feel that freedom is worth fighting for and yes dying, also to protect you and their families from being slaughtered or converting to Islam, but, you wouldn't think that would be worth fighting for would you ? they are Americans and had rather die than be slaves to Islam, What choice and for what reason doe's the baby die for in a abortion? and the poor baby didn't have a choice ,his only sin is being unwanted,
