It's crazy how much he resembles and sounds like the actor. Everytime I go to the movie store he's working. When I go to check out my movie I try my hardest not to laugh because it just amazes me how similar he is to Peter. My boyfriend thinks it would be rude to tell him. He thinks he would be offended by the comment/compliment. Should I just keep my mouth shut or just tell the guy? I don't think he should be offended by it. The actor isn't half bad in my opinion. What are the odds that he's been told this before?

Well it would be alright to tell him but just make sure you explain why he reminds you of him, whether it be his looks or any particular mannerisms he may have (and only mention good qualities). Personally Sarsgaard is one of my favourite actors, he is both good-looking and talented. In some cases it is definately inappropriate to compare two people but not in this case. Good Luck!

I just looked up the actor you are talking about and I don't know how you would think someone would take that as an offence. Peter Sarsgaard is a very handsome man and if this guy looks just like him he will either 1 say thanks or 2 not know you are talking about. I would be armed with some movie roles that he played. I've seen a few of his movies but most notable is Kinsey.

By the way, when I was younger I had dreadlocks like many other black males in NYC. The difference for me was I also happen to look just like Doug E. Doug from Cool Running's. People use to stop me all the time asking me if I was him. I would be followed, asked for autographs and the like. It always put a smile on my face.
