I'm thinking of the previous Halloweens and I can only think a few years back. Last year, the Halloween was excellent...I was maybe just with my dad, but it was a great Halloween. Here in Colorado, there's a major snow storm before Halloween, so that evening on Halloween, it's cold. TLast year, it was a nice cool breeze on Halloween and I didn't even have to wear a heavy coat like I normalyl do. I had to wear some gloves, but that's basically it. I normally don't have a favorite Halloween because I don't really love Halloween as a favorite holiday. This year is probably the last year I'm going to dress up, (14) and next year, I will just give out candy. I feel a bit too old, and it's getting a bit to old too. I would like in the future take my children on Halloween though.
Happy Halloween!

I was 6 years old and in the 2nd grade. One of my classmates was having a Halloween party. I was SO excited because I lived way out in the country and had never gone trick or treating any time before this so it was my first time for a costume. I had a Cinderella costume, complete with the plastic mask (remember those..with the eye holes and the hole at your mouth that you just HAD to stick your tongue through?). I was thrilled and just knew no one would know who I was. As soon as my classmate opened the door, he said "Hi Cyndie...come on in." I was devasted and asked how he knew it was me. "Your shoes", he said. Sheesh.

When I was 5, I went trick-or-treating with the neighborhood kids. One kids was dressed like a scarecrow and his mom and even tied his hands to a board to make it look like he was actually hung up like a real scarecrow.
We lived on a street where you had to walk down long flights of stairs to get to the front door of each house, the street was above the houses. Can you see it coming...?
About 5 houses into the night, the boy tripped on the top stair and fell face first down the whole flight, unable to stop himself because of his mom's ingenious idea to tie him to a board making it impossible to put his hands out to protect his face, or even stop the fall for that matter.
The kid was okay, just knocked some teeth out and went home crying but I have to say, the look on his mom's face was so priceless and as a kid, it was a scary as Halloween is supposed to be.
Recently ran into one of the other kids who was out with us that night and he too, 25 years later, vividly remembered the incident.

the position to commence in this? nicely, as a cushty woman growing to be up in Georgia, I had a good early existence. I loved my common college years a lot more effective. playing contained in the exterior with my 2 youthful siblings and the different young children we knew from college, observing Disney, Nick and MTV (even as there became boy bands and different stuff, till now it replaced!!) and so a lot more effective. and also, I keep in mind going to my relatives' homes and we'd want to continually have activities a lot at our abode.

In 6th grade we had a costume contest at school. I won. I was a Stop Sign. My mom helped me make a sign that went over my head out of red posterboard, with a big hole cut into it for my head (we even used lipstick to color my face red). I wore a white leotard and tights (I still had no shape..was flat as a board and rail thin). I made up several lost and garage sale signs and attached them to myself.

When I got to dress up in the bridemaid's dress in 2nd grade as a princess. My mom even bought a little tiara and sceptor. It was a long pink taffeta dress with more ruffles than you can shake a stick at. I called myself Princess Diana! (I think that's the year she wed into royalty)
