It's hard for me to chose a favorite since Stevenson is one of my favorite authors. I'm not as much into his poetry as I am his stories like "Treasure Island," "Kidnapped," and "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde." I like pirate and sea stories and Stevenson wrote the best in that genre. Some of his poems I do particulary like are "From a Railway Carriage," "The Moon," and "My Shadow." I find his poems to be either quite sweet or quite spiritual and some are even both.

"Markheim". Excellent narrative and description. It contains some interesting descriptive phrases. It's at the same time an analysis of human psyche, especifically, conscience.

For some reason I enjoyed this short story more than his world famous "Strange Case" short novel.

Under the bright and stary sky dig me a grave and let me lie. Glad did I live, and gladly die, and I lay me down with a will.
Thus is the song I grave to thee. Let me be where I longed to be, home is the sailer home from sea, and the hunter back home from the hill.
