I had heard from one of my dearest friends that if you took all of the pink floyd albumn covers and put them together you would see something "trippy"....is that the case?

I think they have made a little mistake. In the early 90s a box set of Pink Floyd CDs went on sale with 9 albums. The box set also had a frame so that you could stack the CDs in a way that made the 'Dark Side of the Moon' Prism logo, using the side/edges of the boxes. If you just put the LP covers together you'll get a great collage, but nothing new.
