idk, post up flyers around ur neighborhood and sing at birthday parties? ooh i got a good one, record ur songs and put them on youtube.com..idk how thats gonna halp advertising but hey im in 7th grade, its the best i got.

Being in a band myself, I would say Myspace is the best way .Set up an account for your band ,get a lot of your friends to add you to their myspace page,and everytime your band starts to gig,you can post a bulletin that will go to EVERYONE in your friends list to let them know your gigging that night ! Cool & easy way to draw a crowd and draw interest to your band ! Good Luck Jamming ! :o)

Free concerts like in parks or open up for other local bands.
That's how my band started out, now we play every where.
We have even done opening acts for a few big name bands,
(that I can't mention) Good luck

These days....get on MySpace and posts some of your songs, then post a video of your band on YouTube.

hand out free demos, flyers, or stickers at shows in your area. also post songs onto myspace.

just put up flyers at high schools and bars and stuff. you can tell all your friends to tell their friends, and their friends.... you'll be the talk of the town before you know it.
