The best thing to do would be for you to find a chat room that has a particular interest to you so it would be easy for you to start or enter into a conversation. Like a favorite hobby, do you have pets, read a new book or seen the latest movie, humor, trivia... the list could go on.
I don't know how old you are,. but stick with an age-appropriate chat site so you can easily speak with your peers.
Also, please do not in any circumstance give out personal information about you, your address, phone number - whereabouts, your family, anything about you that could identify you. Please, do not meet anyone off the chat lines, no matter how charming they could be unless you are over 21, and at that - not alone and in a public place. Too many people have been hurt and worse. Keep the friendship online.
You can have a lot of fun and "meet" people online, but be safe.

VERY CAREFULLY !!! just say hi how are u? and remember don't give out ANY personal information because there are weird people on the net/in the world who may try and get this information and hurt you or worse.. so keep it neutral and never meet in real life. but there are alot of nice people too.. hope you find some that you can chat with..

you just asked people you dont know a question. whats so hard starting a conversation with them? i dont use chat rooms but i have alot of people on my messengers, that i have met at diffrent sites. have some from y/a some from other sites. find someone you think you might want to talk to and im them say hi or whatever and go from thier.
