is our judgement being mislead by idealisation of govt? we have ego reasons to idealise govt: 'our govt is different, superior' [what is the good-sense, prudential-thinking likelihood of any govt being better than the usual? people are generally much the same everywhere] - also the relative decency of the people can project itself onto leaders, giving leaders a free cloak for nefarities - how awful was the catholic church? german leaders, russian leaders? what horrors, atrocities have 'civilised' nations committed - burning 1000s alive, crucifixion of 1000s, hanging people - jesus said: be as cunning as serpents, learn from the worldly, ie, dont be naive, dont let your niceness deceive you about the depth of evil, you are responsible for your govt's acts, you have a duty to examine, be real, history euphemises plunder, sanitises evil - evil hides - evil concentrates where the wealth/power is: govt [flies/flypaper] - why did the foundng fathrs think welth concentratn wd kill democracy?

Some governments are better than others and where there is democracy it is the best that we have on this planet we call earth. No government is perfect and will be until Jesus comes back and institutes his government, which will be worldwide.↔
