Most of the time, Americans are too wrapped up in themselves to think about anyone else, unless you have oil reserves or something that is of interest to us, you're an illegal alien "imposing on our economy", blah blah blah. Then we notice and form opinions about other people from different countries. Notice that I say most, not all.

There are people like me, who do take notice of and appreciate Brazilians and others from foreign nations for the simple fact that we recognize that America is not the best/ smartest/ coolest country in the world.

No, you aren't correct. Absolute statements are never accurate.

There may be SOME Americans who don't like Brazilians but since I'm and American with Brazilian friends, you can't say all Americans dislike Brazilians.

Truth be told, most Americans don't even really think about people living in other countries let alone form opinions about them.
