Generally the government will only hate you if you break their rules, since it has all sorts of people in (even if some types, more than others). Society can hate you for any unreasonable thing.
Anyway though, you don't need to be loyal to the country. Respect the rules while your in the country, but don't be loyal.
The only reason to be loyal to a country is because it's where you, your friends and your family live. Even then it's optional to be loyal to the country and not just the people themselves.

You do not have that duty. You can emigrate to such a country where they will love you. Then take their citizenship, resign the citizenship of the hated country and everybody will be happy.
However if you use the protection of the country of your birth, then it is quite irrelevant who hates whom and why. The moral obligation is there and you have knowingly entered into it.

Depends on what you've done to make everyone hate you.

I wouldn't say both society and the government hate us, but I'd say the country is becoming a complete joke due to the 'P.C-brigade'. If it doesn't change shortly I'm emigrating, as I'm sick of it!!

what your own govt hates you? sureley thats paranoia! well, tjhese days maybe not...
well, youre either from the middle east, or your american... (hard to tell ) your homestone is always your homestone. wherever you are, you are what you are. politics is a game played by bored rich impotent men... and idiots.
i disagree with our govt, ive made cutting observations, and this is my home. my England. wherever i go, i am that Englishman. i dont do airs and graces, and i do not apologise for my countries stance on the geopolitical stage.
how quickly the world forgets our achievements, but what it means to be truly English these days is little more than lip service to this once great nation. and believe me, weve been on a lots of people to kill list along the corridors of time. we upset many nations, and we slaughtered a fair few of them along the way. no one thought the creation of the British Empire was outrageous... and yet it was, by todays standards we'd all be up for crimes against humanity... we werent just cruel, we were barbaric... and this small insignificant island in the cold north sea, raised its banner allover the known world... and i dont care what anyone else thinks of us, or me, Im English, and i'm proud of my heritage, my lineage, and my ideology. to be other than patriotic to my country is unthinkable.

Society would only hate you if you don't obey by their rules. Those rules are created by the society's representatives and enforced by the government. So your alternatives are follow the rules, chose someone that represent you or leave.

In essence you shouldn't be. No government is for the people - the government is for the government, they don't care about YOU at all - they only care about your vote. Society is dead, people only care about themselves and money, certainly not their neighbours.
