Mothers don't ALWAYS know best no. A lot of people assume because she is your mother she knows all and is knowledgeable. When really, your mother is still a person, doesnt mean she knows more because shes had a child. If your mother went to school for business then she'll know a lot about business (so long as it wasnt over 20 years ago haha), if she runs an italian restaurant then she probably knows about italian food, finances, management, that kind of stuff. Just depends on the individual.
So maybe you should be a little more specific?
But in general, mothers dont always know best, they just know how to give advice based on their own personal experience. If you always listen (not saying go and defy your mother! dont! haha) then you wont have any experiences of your own.

there are lots of situations where mother does know best, but not in mine. Unfortunately some of us have mothers that DO NOT have our best interest at heart. But God will never let you down. You cant always depend on others regardless of their title or connection to you, but the Lord will never let you down. And I'm not preaching I'm just speaking from experience...He created you, he knows what he created you for and he knows the best way to get you there. Even if your momma is your best friend, shes human!!!!

in most cases yes but in some no but the reason i say she knows best cause i am a father and we know these things we tell you about cause we have been there done that thing so take alot of concideration in what your mother is telling you and be free in askin her im sure she will talk to you about his situation . not always,but usually. i laughed when mom said "dont explore the abandoned house down the road-the floorboards are old,and u'll fall thru!" i did it anyway.the floorboards gave way.i fell from the kitchen into the basement and broke my shoulder and arm.mom knew best !
