my personal advice is to be you and stay the same. Many celebrities didn't start out in television, try out doing some community plays, then getting leads, if all goes well, try getting some modeling pictures done from professional agencies so they can cycle your picture and resume througout some smaller companies. Then that's when larger companies go to the smaller company performances and people get discovered. That is really how actors and actresses get started. Not the miraculous stories you hear about on the news, that is why they are the news. Don't give up, and don't ever take what the director says to heart, if you take anything personal, you are not cut out for acting.

No, you can start a career when you're older. You need to get a portfolio and an agent who then can represent you and call you for auditions. Go to acting schools. Depending on where you live, you might need to move to NY, it's where the action is. You can also look in your newspaper, sometimes they call for extras in movies and you might get discovered. But be prepared that you will have to pound the pavement from audition to audition if you're not one of the lucky ones that get discovered by a director or producer of a movie. And for those things you need to be older because you really might have to move on your own. In the meantime get a good education and a job qualification, because if it doesn't happen you have something to fall back on. A lot of actors washed dishes, waited on tables and were sales people, waitresses etc. before they got their big break.
Good Luck, follow your dreams, maybe one day we see you in the movies.

Go for your dream. What kind of celebrity do you want to be? If it's acting well then get into drama. Most do start young but not all. You will need formal training though. So work on it. Remember though always have something to fall back on. Get a good education so just in case it doesn't work out.

The answer, of course, is this: go for it, but not without a back-up plan. I have a powerful desire to be a best selling fantasy/sci-fi writer - I'm in the process of writing my first book - but I'm doing editing and miscellaneous grunt work to support myself in the meantime. I don't think it's ever too late to start, either... unless you're so old you're in nappies again. Probably a bit late, then...

not all of the celebs were that way when they were younger. Some people were poor then grew up and became rich and famous. It'll just take a little bit of work. Just remember always have a back up plan.

no matter what anyone says always be true to your heart, never give up and keep trying. If at first you don't suceed, try again, and keep trying untill you have reached your goal or dream. If it does'nt happen at least they can't say you did'nt do your best.
I hope you achieve your celebrity status. God bless you.
