would you rather live in a square or a sphere, and why. by the way, answering neither is not an option

A square because the rent is cheaper.

I think we live in both. At times in my life, I felt like a square, and at time as cool as a sphere. It feels great at times to live in both, but at the same times quite the opposite. To be an individual, and not conform to others can be awesome, but also can be frustration. To be the queen bee, comes with it's own sets of variables. I feel natural to live in a sphere, but at times, my surrounding compress me into a square. I think we have no control, because of the ever changing world.

While a sphere may suggest a circle, and all manner of philosophies, and metaphysical suggestions, I suspect living INSIDE one could become quite dull.

At the very least, if the suggestion was in the actual, a square might offer more inspiration, and points of exploration.

You're assuming the earth is a sphere. It is actually a spheroid. I would prefer living in a cylinder (no corners to clean)
