I am a HUGE fan of old adventure games (think Westwood's Legends of Kyrandia series, Legend Entertainment games, Kings Quest, ect) and while I have been able to load and run them on my current PC (PIII 1.2GhZ, Win2000 Pro Dell with factory sound card) I really miss the music and sounds to these games. Is there a way to maybe install an emulator or a seconday sound card to run the sounds for these older games? or should I just go find me a still working Win 3.1 box with the old Sound Blaster card?

The problem is the soundcard in your case is onboard. Most of these onboard thingies are a mess and they are not downward compatible.

Look for CREATIVE soundblaster cards. I believe they are downward compatible with old programs and games. Im sure they will get listed in your games as Audio devices.
