9u + 6v – 10u
= (9u-10u) + 6v
= -u + 6v

since 9 and 10 both have u's and the 10 has the minus sign in front of it and it is understood that the 9 is positive:
9u - 10u = -1u

so combining like terms leaves you with... -1u + 6v

couldn't get much easier. combine the u's.
since others gave the answer I don't need to do it, but the 9u and the -10u need to be combined because they contain a like term (in this case, u).

9u+6v-10u
=6v-10u+9u
=6v-u
