This is a great one to start with, you're at the right age. It's called "Of Mice and Men" by John Steinbeck. Here are a few more, pardon me for not remembering all of the authors' names. "Lord of the Flies", "Animal Farm" this one has a political theme, but is very funny & helps us to look at the human race from another perspective. "Green Days By the River" by Michael Anthony. This is a coming of age book. The classics are always very good, things like Tom Sawyer, Huckleberry Finn, Great Expectations (Pip & the Convict), The Odyssey, Moby Dick, Oliver Twist, etc. Hope this helps.

I'd Say I Love You But Then I'd Have To Kill You by Ally Carter is about a young girl, teen probably around 15 or 16, who is brilliant in some ways--can speak fourteen languages--and is quite an excellent student at her spy school but is absolutely clueless when it comes to her first crush and dating! It's so much fun to read!

Twilight by Stephenie Meyer is another fun book. Bella has just transferred to a new school (in January) and is just settling in when she falls for the school's mystery boy...Edward is unlike any of her classmates...really unlike anyone she's ever known. There is something about him that she can't resist. But he has a big secret! He's a vampire! It's a very good romance with some exciting adventures.

Any books you understand are good books, and if you try adult fiction, non-fiction and like it, your vocabulary and knowledge expands too. For teens, there is the Harry Potter stuff or try Emily Drake. If you like sci-fi/fantasy go to Baen's Books. Sign in on that site. You will then be able to check out authors alphabetically as well as see what is upcoming, what has already been written and you can use their chat room and the Bar. Either of these two places are frequented by the authors as well as other people, so that they can get feedback and expound on their works to date. You can also read and download free ebooks. Enjoy!

I'm thirteen to and I enjoyed 'Salem's Lot by Stephen King. I am currently reading a Million Little Pieces, it's really good! You could try The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton or any of the Harry Potter books all of the suggested books are wonderful.
