It has worked so far. If DIMocrats gain control of the House, they will try to undo all the security measures the Bush Administration has implemented.

Bravo!
You answered your own question and told us how to answer it.
So what, do you give yourself ten points?
Look, no one - not even the Republican Party or President Bush - can keep America 100% safe.
To think otherwise is not only foolish but dangerous.
Now, I do not believe that the terrorists are open to negotiation.
That tactic is also foolish and so many Democrats are blind to that fact.
But let's face it, our president did a very stupid thing when he invaded Iraq.
Maybe he believed his own lies (the WMD and all that other crap) or maybe he just had a war-woody and felt that he could waltz into Iraq without opposition.
Either way, his blunder (along with that bonehead Rumsfled) was classic textbook tactical error.
And not only did our president screw the pooch (if you will), he fostered a new cottage industry in Iraq: home-made terrorists.
Thanks, Mr. Bush!
But the awful reality is that we can't just pull out of Iraq.
Like the Uncle Remus tar-baby story, we're stuck there for a while.
But ol' Brer Bush, he just in office fo' a few mo' years, un he turn the mess ov'r ta the next po' fool!
Anyway - enough poking fun at Bush.
I'm glad I'm not in his shoes.
He can't protect us anymore than anyone else in government.
It boils down to all Americans remaining alert for suspicious activity and reporting it.

..."That being said, those who say that al-Qaeda has won against the administration in the White House or that the administration has lost in this war have not been precise, because when one scrutinizes the results, one cannot say that al-Qaeda is the sole factor in achieving those spectacular gains.
"Rather, the policy of the White House that demands the opening of war fronts to keep busy their various corporations – whether they be working in the field of arms or oil or reconstruction – has helped al-Qaeda to achieve these enormous results.
"And so it has appeared to some analysts and diplomats that the White House and us are playing as one team toward the economic goals of the United States, even if the intentions differ."
-Osama bin Laden 2006
if we are gonna beat this crazy man and his violent group, we need to know what his telling his followers. if what we are doing in the world is indeed helping the terrorists, we should probably change our approach. otherwise, the terrorists are just gonna keep exploiting the bad mistakes we've made and come ontop in the war. if the republicans cant think creatively to form a real plan, then no, they cant keep us safe. why not vote for the people who are looking at new approaches?

The terrorists *love* Bush. He let bin Laden escape and his bone-headed invasion of Iraq, which posed no threat to America as anyone over the age of four (or an IQ over 80) now knows, has enraged the Muslim world and made bin Laden's views more popular than ever. Afraid of this poser? Dream on.
After the US Intelligence agencies stated that the aggressive Iraq war has made the situation worse, how can you still believe the Bush plan, of ignoring the real problem in Afghanistan by going off on a sideshow in Iraq to one-up his father, still works?

The Republicans with control of the Oval Office, the House, and the Senate can't clean up after a storm or protect the Congressional Pages in their dorm.
They are incompetent, bungling, misguided dolts.
